How do I sign up for NPO subscription?
  • Install the Cloud Sync trial from the AppExchange, and then email cloud@appirio.com with the name of your organization and how many seats you require
Do I have to use a Credit Card (Google Wallet Account) to purchase CloudSync?
  • For the most part, Yes. You should setup a Google Wallet account, and purchase using a Credit Card. If you are unable to purchase Cloud Sync with a Credit Card, you can email cloud@appirio.com, and we will provide you with an Order Form, which you can sign and return, and we will be able to invoice from there. 
How is my subscription activated after I purchase? 
  • Subscriptions are updated on our end, and sometimes take up to 48 hours to reflect recent purchases. 
How do I add seats to my subscription? 
  • Email cloud@appirio.com, and let us know how many seats you would like to add, and we can help you from there. 
How do I know my purchase went through? 
  • You will receive a receipt from Google Checkout to the email address you purchased with, and within 48 hours you will receive a Thank You email from Appirio, once your subscription has been upgraded. 
How do I set up Google Wallet? 
  • Use Google Wallet to pay for apps through Google Checkout, just by signing into your account. Simply follow this link to the Google Wallet site, log in with your Google Domain email address, and register the credit card you wish to use to make your purchase. 
Do I need to purchase seats for every SFDC user, or just the people who want access? 
  • You only need to purchase seats for the users who require the functionality. You do NOT need to purchase a seat for every user in your organization 

Are seats transferable? 

  • Yes, within the organization. If users leave your organization, you can assign their seats to someone else at the organization. 

How long does it take to activate my subscription once I purchase through Google Wallet? 

  • It can take up to 48 hours for your subscription to be activated after purchasing.

Does CloudFactor Sync calendars? 
  • No, you can manually push events from Google Calendar to Salesforce, but there is no automated sync. If you require an automated sync, you should look into Appirio Cloud Sync.

  • No. You only need the Enterprise Edition of CloudFactor is you would like to build your own Apps using the CloudFactor API

Does CloudFactor work with custom objects?
  • Custom objects related to Contact/Account can be exposed in a list in the data stream area where we show Chatter or the Activity History.  You can view these records and drill into them to open the related detail page in Salesforce.
  • Any custom objects that have a relationship to Salesforce Tasks can be referenced when saving email back to Salesforce, logging calls, or creating follow-up tasks.
  • Finally, we have a roadmap item that would allow customers to configure applications that include custom objects via declarative settings, but currently if someone wants a custom CloudFactor app only based on custom objects, that can be done using our SDK capabilities but requires the customer to be able to write HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

How to find SFDC Org ID? 
  • Within the Salesforce application, your Salesforce Organization ID can be found under: Setup > Administration Setup > Company Profile > Company Information. 
How do I get started with Appirio Cloud Sync?
Can I use Cloud Sync with my personal Gmail address book?
  • Yes, with the new OAUTH functionality, you can now use Cloud Sync with your personal Gmail account.
What are the limitations of Appirio Cloud Sync?
  • While most common synchronization scenarios are handled as expected, there are some limitations of Appirio Cloud Sync. More information is available in the documentation.
Does CloudSync sync emails?
  • No, however, Appirio CloudFactor does provide the ability to manually record emails. 
Does CloudSync sync tasks? 
  • Yes, Cloud Sync for Tasks is currently in Beta, if you would like access to the feature, please email cloud@appirio.com.

Can I choose which events to sync in Cloud Sync (Personal vs. Business)? 

  • No. Cloud Sync will sync all events from Google to Salesforce. Cloud Sync will mark these as private events in Salesforce so these show up as busy when others look at the user’s availability but the details are not displayed per Salesforce access control rules for private events. This requires Salesforce configuration per this Appirio Support knowledge base article

Can I control who gets access to the app? 
  • Yes, this is controlled by restricting access to which profiles have access to the Cloud Sync administration page that is installed into the Salesforce org with the Cloud Sync AppExchange package. This can be set at install time by giving access to all users, only administrators, or selecting specific profiles to access the application, or it can be done later through profile configuration. For instance, it is possible to make Cloud Sync available as a tab by editing the Custom Tab settings on a profile and including Appirio Cloud Sync. Similarly Appirio Cloud Sync can be exposed as an application by exposing it via Custom App settings on a profile. 
Can I sync multiple Google Domains to my Salesforce instance? 
  • No, you can only use Cloud Sync to sync one Google Domain to Salesforce 
Do I need to reinstall the app after my trial ends? 
  • No, you should be all set, once your subscription has been upgraded. If you are having technical issues, you should contact support@appirio.com. 
How many users can be on the trial?
  • As many users as you like for the 30 day period.

 Is CloudSync able to sync custom objects?

  • No, CloudSync will only sync the standard salesforce objects.

Can Cloud Sync synchronize custom fields? 

  • No.  Cloud Sync only syncs the following fields, and cannot handle custom fields:
